Naturopathic medicine offers what is often missed in a standard medical office: time, attentive listening, and thoughtful follow-up. Our doctors partner with you to understand the full picture of your health and build a personalized plan that supports lasting change.
Naturopathic doctors (NDs) are medical providers licensed by the Oregon Board of Naturopathic Medicine, with doctoral-level training in both conventional medical sciences and evidence-informed natural therapies. They complete a four-year accredited medical program, extensive clinical training, and national board exams. This is not "alternative" care; it is regulated, science-informed medicine that prioritizes time, listening, and individualized treatment.
What our doctors can do
Our naturopathic doctors do not act as primary care providers, but they practice with a broad clinical scope that overlaps significantly with an MD's, often without the months-long wait many patients face for an insurance-assigned doctor. That includes:
- Diagnosing conditions
- Ordering and interpreting laboratory testing
- Prescribing medications
- Making referrals
Treatment plans may combine conventional and natural options: medications, nutraceutical supplements, botanical medicine, nutrition, and lifestyle changes such as diet, movement, stress management, sleep, and social connection. Our doctors work alongside your other healthcare providers to support both immediate concerns and long-term health.
What to expect
Visits are unhurried, in person or by telehealth, and our naturopathic patients also use the Charm patient portal for their records. On prevention, read why naturopathic medicine is a strong first step.
