If you have recently been in a car or bike accident, your body is probably feeling it: neck stiffness, back pain, headaches, or just tension everywhere. We offer orthopedic-focused acupuncture, massage, and physical therapy to help your recovery go safely and naturally, and your treatment is likely covered by your auto insurance through its Personal Injury Protection (PIP) benefits.
What you need to know
- No referral. You do not need one to begin care with us.
- Usually no copay. PIP coverage typically pays 100 percent of acupuncture and massage related to your accident, and can cover physical therapy as well.
- We handle the paperwork. We bill your PIP claim directly so you can focus on feeling better (more on how billing works on our insurance page).
- Do not wait. PIP benefits are time-sensitive, so start care soon after the accident rather than waiting for pain to get worse.
Oregon requires PIP coverage on auto policies. The state's Division of Financial Regulation explains what it covers, and the statute is ORS chapter 742.
How we help
Our practitioners are experienced in trauma-informed care and accident recovery. We focus on reducing inflammation, calming the nervous system, improving circulation, and supporting your body's own healing response. Bodywork with acupuncture and massage (passive healing) plus physical therapy (active healing) is a strong combination for getting comfortable and mobile again.
Who you can see
You can use your PIP benefits for care with any of our acupuncturists, massage therapists, or our physical therapist. Jake Rockwell, LAc and Lindsey Rockwell, LAc both treat motor vehicle accident injuries, and Katy Kemp, DPT sees accident patients for physical therapy. Read the practitioner bios to find a good fit, and call the front desk with any questions.
Book online and choose a "Car or Bike Accident" visit, or call 503-758-9760 and we will get you started.
