We're looking for an experienced Physical Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team of healers in a warm, collaborative practice space.

Compensation

Competitive split commission

About Our Space

Our PT room is intentionally minimal, equipped with a ballet-style bar, a large mirror, treatment table and a curated selection of small exercise tools (resistance bands, balance discs, light weights, etc.). We do not have large equipment such as cable systems or cardio machines. We're looking for a PT who is excited to work within this space as-is and can creatively adapt treatment plans using bodyweight, mirror-based feedback, small props, and hands-on techniques.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluate and treat patients using functional, movement-based approaches suited to our space
  • Design individualized treatment plans that don't rely on large equipment
  • Collaborate with other practitioners on our interdisciplinary team to support whole-person care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress with patients and team members

Requirements

  • Active state license as a Physical Therapist (DPT or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
  • Comfort and creativity working in a non-traditional, equipment-light setting
  • Strong manual therapy and functional movement assessment skills
  • A collaborative mindset and interest in working alongside other wellness practitioners
  • Excellent communication and patient rapport

Insurance & Credentialing

We are a heavily insurance-based practice. Providers who are already paneled & credentialed with major insurance carriers are strongly preferred.

About Mandala

Mandala Medicine & Wellness opened in 2014. Jake and Lindsey Rockwell, both licensed acupuncturists, took it over in 2022 and have grown it into a clinic of five acupuncturists, seven massage therapists, a physical therapist, two naturopathic doctors, and a mental health counselor. Readers of Willamette Week voted us Best Acupuncture and Best Massage in Portland in 2024.

We are practitioner-owned and operated, and we put a strong emphasis on the wellbeing and compensation of our providers. Each practitioner runs an independent practice inside a shared clinic, with a front desk that coordinates care, manages patient communication, handles scheduling, insurance billing, credentialing, and payment collection. The idea is simple: the back end is covered so you can be present with your patients.

Patients are often shared between rooms. An acupuncturist, a massage therapist, a PT, and a naturopathic doctor can all be part of one person's care here, and we talk to each other about it. We also work regularly with primary care providers, surgeons, and other specialists outside the building.

We are a queer-affirming, body-neutral practice. LGBTQIA2S+ people, and all bodies, professions, and ages, are safe and welcome here, as patients and as colleagues.

The clinic sits in a 1917 stone building on East Burnside near Laurelhurst Park, renovated into a quiet, classic-yet-modern space. TriMet bus 768 stops at Burnside and E 32nd. There are four parking spots off the driveway and street parking around the block.

A quiet treatment room: a made table under a wide window with wooden blinds, a hanging plant, and small rainbows of light on the wall.
