Allison Conachen

Allison Conachen (she/her) is an acupuncturist and clinical herbalist in Portland, OR, licensed by the Oregon Medical Board. She graduated from the World Medicine Institute in Honolulu in 2013 with a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and from the Maui School of Therapeutic Massage in 2000. She has worked in the healing arts ever since, with additional training in craniosacral therapy, energy healing, and medical intuition. Alongside Chinese herbal medicine, she has studied Western and Ayurvedic plant medicine in India and Nepal.

Her treatments draw on acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, tui na, neuromuscular therapy, and energy healing. Her areas of focus include acute and chronic pain, injury recovery, anxiety, trauma and nervous system regulation, and women’s health.

Allison’s interest in medicine started with her own ongoing chronic health issues. Through her healing journey and over two decades of training and dedication to helping patients, she has witnessed the importance of the mind-body connection and come to recognize that we all possess the innate ability to heal.

Whether you’re seeking help with acute or chronic health conditions, you will be heard and met with gentleness and compassion, and with recognition that each person has their own unique story. Using the knowledge she has gained over the past 20 years, she provides patients with the best care possible through safe, relaxing, and effective treatments that address your symptoms as well as the root cause.
